About Me

There Is Never an Excuse to ignore High Blood Pressure

I used to thinkt that people in good health just had "healthy genes" and that daily habits didn't affect health very much. Due to that belief, when my doctor diagnosed me with high blood pressure and prescribed a medication to treat it, I didn't take it at first. I soon got a health "wake up call" when I began experiencing chest pains. My wife took me to the ER and, thankfully, they determined I wasn't having a heart attack, like I thought I was. The next day, I began taking my medication and living a healthier lifestyle. Soon, I was able to stop the medication due to my lifestyle changes, but I still monitor my blood pressure at home just to "stay on the safe side." I wanted to share my story to help others and plan to post many more health tips on my new blog.

Like most facility operators, you probably think that the nitrogen will last almost forever, but you are mistaken. Not paying attention to the tubes in which the precious reproductive material is stored is the same as telling your customers their dreams of having children are not important. Read More

Why You Should Consider Vision Therapy For Your Child

If you have a child with vision problems, you've likely already taken them to the optometrist to obtain prescription eyeglasses.  However, eyeglasses are designed to compensate for visual problems; they do not correct them.  When your child removes their glasses, they will have the same vision issues that they had prior to putting them on.  Vision therapy is a great alternative that can possibly go a long way toward correcting your child's vision problems, so that they are able to have good vision, even if their glasses are broken. 3 Alternative Therapy Options To Try During Pregnancy

Finding out you're pregnant means that the focus of your day-to-day life immediately shifts. Your health and the health of your unborn child become your highest priority. When you are pregnant, you have every right to think primarily about yourself and your health. With this heightened focus, you may be under the impression that the only healthcare you should seek out during your pregnancy is that of conventional medicine (i.e. your OB/GYN). Read More

Understanding The Basic Causes Of Breast Density

Once you reach the age of 40 it is essential to have regular mammograms in order to monitor your breasts for any abnormalities. The purpose of a mammogram is to allow the doctors to determine if the internal structure of your breast tissue has any unidentifiable breast density and growth. Breast density shown through a mammogram appears light on the file and the surrounding fatty tissues are darker in color. This allows the doctors to get a better determination on the amount of healthy breast tissue and possible presence of abnormalities. Read More

3 Common Mistakes Heart Attack Patients Make

All too often, people go through life never thinking about the foods they eat or the lifestyle they live. They do what they want to do, that is until something snaps them back into reality, and they are forced to do something about their health. If you have already suffered through a heart attack already, there is an excellent chance that you are going to end up having another one later on down the line. Read More
